I was going to dye some white wheels, but haven't yet. Here are some instructions from the web. Scroll down to "plastic and vinyl":

Sure you can as long as you know that the paint will start to peel rapidly. Rit dye is the way to go for the rims and wings.

Only heavy scratches will show the base color. My wings on my buggies around the edges show some color coming through but if it were not for that then you'd never know they had been dyed.

I'm in the same prediciment. What else works coz I bought some dylon and their black dye made my wing go a smokey blue colour. Not the finnish I anticipated. Perhaps leather dye would work? Any clues would be appreciated.

Stop by a fabric or a Suzie Homemaker type store and ask for fabric dye which is what rit dye was designed to dye.

I don't know if you guys have K-Mart or Wal-Mart in your countries but that's where you can get some too.

Well I finally found that dylon do a multi purpose dye that dyes plastics great.
Not sure how to post snaps of my buggy yet though. As soon as I know I'll get a picture on here!
