Some P5's have had the turbo plug for some time. I know RC Mushroom had some. Not sure if that's what you're referring to.

I'm Looking to get a racing engine for under 300.00. can you point me in the right direction. I want to run 30% Nitro . Right now I have the stock Lightinig with a 645 metal gear high torque servo and Running 5,7,1 in my Diff's and 30 and 40 front and rear with the stock shocks and I like how it handles. I broke it in with 20% for the 1 -1/2 Gallons and then started with 25% today when I finish a tank of fuel i'm at 260 degrees any pointers on tuneing??? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.................................. James

I'd give the RBS5 or S7 a shot. They will run you about 230-270. Check them out at www.acehardwarehobbies.com

So did you allready get the engine.. here is my take on the P5 turbo.. the turbo head.. and turbo glow plug is not worth it.. hard to tune.. and also.. turbo plugs are hard to come by.. and cost alot more.. however.. i would definitly recommend any regular P5 engine.. its a lot of motor.. hope you can handle it.. but i dont reccommend the turbo head motors.

Novarossi, Top, or Rex P5 will be your best bet for under $300. Like dgrobe said, get the standard head and leave the turbo plugs alone.
