Kanai almost done!

Well for Christmas I got a brand new, in the box, original Kyosho Inferno MP 7.5 Kanai edition. Along with an OS RZV01 .21 b , Paris pipe, Proline Tires, Novak XXTra FM Synth RX, HiTec 5645mg servo and 645mg servo and a 1000mah NiMh hump pack.

Its just about done and Im happyy happpy happpy!

This is my first 8th scale buggy!!! Now I can see what all the hype is about! My buddy at the LHS tells me this thing will do 65mph as is before tweaking it out. Hard to believe with a single speed. But Ive heard similar elsewhere. CANT WAIT!

Hopefully it will be done tonight and I can post some pics!

-Chris

Go and check out my post in the 'Radio Gear' forum.

Then follow the links and read up at Futaba's web site. You would be surprised at what this can do that a normal, standard issue, AM TX can do.

Christian,
You're gonna love the K-car. I have a 7.5 now that I have added just about all of the K2 parts to and it is awesome. I'm running a v01b with a Rex 053 pipe and it has killer low end. It absolutely launches.
Joolz,
I have a S7 sitting on my shelf right now that needs to be broken in. Any suggestions? Also, how do you think it compares to the v01b as for low, mid, and top end?

To be honest, I couldnt tell you. This is my first 8th scale buggy as well. Also, its the original Kanai edition. RZV01B and its a Rossi Pipe. I cant make out the model of it though. Its a rough finish and I 'THINK' it might be a Rex. I even took a magnifying glass to this thing. Maybe Ill try a crayon and see if I can get the wax to get caught in the etching so I can make it out.

Its brand new though.

How fast do these things go?

I cant break it in until the snow is less and/or the temps get higher. I have a hard time running anything other than my monster trucks in this cold. Stuff snaps, shock oil freezes, everything gets wet etc.. And for the money we sink into these things.......

I wish I could get more people from the Buffalo area on here. Would be cool to bash with some folks with the same rides or similar. Working on it.

Thanks for the info!

-Chris

And P.S. Razor, Good to see you back in action.

Yeah, I took a little vacation from the board. Just needed a little break.
I don't know exactly how fast your buggy will be but it will rocket out of the hole. The v01b's are not known for their top end speed, but they have excellent bottom end. Of course you can play with the gearing, pipe, etc. if top speed is what you want. Do you race? You have a racing machine, take it to the track. I have recently got in to competitve racing (not just bashing around and burning fuel) and I love it. Check out Radio Control Zone and you should be able to find some guys in the Buffalo area to hook up with.
