Tire Cleaning
What does everyone use to clean their tires? i cleaned my tires before i took out my buggy today with WD-40. WOW, they had an incredible amount of grip. It made the tires feel a little softer, but they didn't wear at all and i was running for probably 4 or 5 hrs. They had a huge amount of grip and when i took off on pavement, the whole front end lifted up. It hasn't done this before. The tires have much better traction now. All thanks to WD-40. I actually got the idea from my brother and dad who race go-karts on a dirt track. They use it on their slicks and it makes it so they don't slide out. I guess it works on Buggys too.
Let me know what you use for cleaning. |

using simple green will have a similar affect. it softens the rubber thats why you have more grip. simple green will actually cause the tire to heat up too. i use this trick for my onroad cars in cooler weather, this way i dont have to wait for 2-3 laps for full traction.
