Different type of gas?

ok, I have blue thunder gas and I was wondering is there any chance I could change to the traxxas nitro fuel? Because the hobby shop that sold my gas moved and the only one now sell traxxas fuel. If I can change gas how do I do it?

Derreck

oh I have a hotbodies RR rtr with a .21 size engine made by hotbodies.

changing fuel is no big deal. All your going to have to do is to retune. I went from odonnell to backyard basher because I moved and that is all my lhs had. no big deal just richen back to stock settings and retune from there.

so All I have to do is get the fuel out of my lines and stuff and then just put the needles back to factory. That's a piece of cake. Now if anyone thinks this is wrong you have 2 minutes before I go do it.

basically, switching fuells is a pita. you have to wash out the tank, get new fuel lines (or at least clean them thoroughly, and take apart your engine to get rid of any traces of the old fuel. it's best to just get a new piston and sleeve, but usually it's fine if you just clean it well. good luck, you're seriously going to need it!!!

what would be the point of this. The remenance of the old fuel is going to burnt when you fire up your engine.

I went from O'Donnell to Trinity Monster without any problems at all. Just re-tuned with the new fuel. Didn't wash anything out, just put in the new fuel and ran.

What, there is no need for all of that fuel is fuel, as long as the nitro % is the same. The last time I switched fuels all I did was empty the tank and blow out the lines. That mill is still running great.

Was nitro freak just kidding? Or is he serious???

Hell, I change fuel all the time and it hasn't had any effects that I could tell. I didn't do anything, but fill the tank with new fuel and reset the needles to factory and retune from there. No flushing, no cleaning...
