What are some good mail order houses for the K3?

Ergal, KFactory, etc? I tore up the front right cvd and knuckle on my K3 yesterday and need some parts.

Thanks,

HiRez (user on this site) should be able to hook you up. Hes a great seller and seems to have his hands on all of this stuff. Drop him a line.

If not, let me know what you need and I can get it for you as well.

(all in regards to Ergal Fioroni Option Team etc.)

Most K-factory stuff is junk. I run some clipless hingepins from them that's all.

Some fioroni or any brand CNC knuckles will do the trick great.

and i'd stick to the stock kyosho universals..... how/where did you break them? it's not a common occurence....

I think the lower bolt on the knuckle either backed out a hair or the knuckle itself just broke, then put the cvd in a bind which broke it. It (cvd) was bent and snapped about 3/4 of an inch from the Universal joint (pretty much much right where it the hub carrier would be).

Guess I'll just get the spares off of towers.

I know quite a few people using K Factory equipment and they swear by it. Guys I trust and know to be seasoned hobbiests that don't just throw their money @ stuff like I do.

Did you ask HiRez? He usually has a ton of it in stock.

Not yet. I just got home and was answering some PM's. I just thought it was funny that I asked for a couple URL's and it was heading downhill pretty quick, that's all. BTW, I might register that url. Ya think it might be too long to remember?

I'll hit up HiRez here in a bit. I plan on doing a complete teardown of the K3 and probably won't need the parts for a week or three anyway.

If he doesnt have them, let me know. Especially if you can wait for the parts to come in. I have a GOOD line on those parts.

Aside from that, your guess is as good as mine for who online has what you want, AND at a fair price.

lol - that URL might work hehehe

Pissin match wow error! Udi and I IM each other quite a lot and I consider him a friend. Maybe at one time when I first joined we had our disagreements but we would far from piss on eachother. Sorry if it seemed othewise. 1 sec I will call him and ask him where he buys them as he get's them online. Udi's friend just happens to make some sick ass shit for the K so he is jaded lol!

NP, I'm getting old and senile, I must have mistaken him for someone else. Apologies.

I'm just kind of pissed that I completely hosed up a cvd, and the knuckle. the carrier was fine, but looked funny with the DB side of the shaft sticking through the carrier like it was impaled. Kind of cut my one day of driving short by a couple hours. Now it's sitting by the front door, sans right front wheel et al, so it kind of reminds me every day. Maybe I should move it to the shop. Nah, then I'd forget about it and it'd never get fixed.

yeah me and hb are cool, if only he drove a kyosho we'd be two peas in a pod.

hey error they are UNIVERSALS, not cvd's, thats those little toothpick things that the mugen runs jp

just get a spare set, if something doesnt mess with them they litereally last FOREVER, and I don't think you would ever find anything aftermarket that would match them, let alone better.

my friend makes some stuff for the 7.5 here, and i just made a site for him recently.. it should work.

www.mgm-racing.com

no knuckles yet though sorry, if it was me i'd just grab a cheap(er) cnc pair off ebay, if you don't want to drop the big bucks for the fioroni's.

Thanks Udi. I really think the knuckle gave out then the universal got in a bind and snap.

And no Gain, you didn't. When a real RCNT pissin match goes down, you'll know it.
