That's an ok buggy and I'm sure you'd have lots of fun with it. For the money, get this buggy: http://acehardwarehobbies.com/2.2/ca...oducts_id=5376

That'll save you some cash and you'd get a much better basher buggy. It's wider and has a larger fuel tank.

Wasn't someone recently having a bad experience from Ace? I can't speak on behalf of the Ofna buggies but a GS Storm is a pretty good ride and comes with a great radio.

While the stock engine is just that in the storm, you'll be getting the same in the ofna buggies. As far as the failsafe goes, I can't remember which one Ofna uses but if it's their micro failsafe it's junk.

Failsafes in general don't get my nod of approval nor that of my bash buddies either.

Whether a buggy comes with a fail safe or not should not be the deciding factor. In fact, most don't. Anyways, a decent failsafe will run you $25 - $35 and it installs between the receiver and the throttle servo. Piece of cake to install. Don't get EP going about failsafes, he'll pull out his soap box and commence to preaching.
El Pirata is now El Preacher. (Love ya bro). I had a failsafe, it malfunctioned and I now run without it. Will I replace it ? Maybe, maybe not. Sorry, got off track there. I have a Storm and yes it is a bit pricey, but like EP said, it comes with a super nice radio. And the aftermarket support is there as well. What does you LHS carry ? It's always nice to have the support of you LHS when you need that part and you need it now. Online shopping is great but sometimes you need it fast.

MBX/Violator

If you plan on bashing go with the MBX the PBS suspension is much stronger then the KINGPIN suspension in the Violator, my Violator has been down for 2 weeks because of suspension, so now i ordered kit to make Violator into MBX VIOLATOR.Just MY 2 Cent. Have A NIce Day.
