Yeah right... I'm a heavy basher! Anyway, you might want to think about a GS storm. Aside from the pull start I have not broken mine yet.

I rammed my Storm full throttle into a steel post and I broke the front bumper and gearbox. $12.

My friend let someone drive his Storm and the person drove his storm full speed on pavement into a mailbox. It was 20 degrees outside and one of the wheels broke off. Upper and Lower suspension arms broke, $18.

I guess I'm trying to say that replacement parts for the Storm are pretty cheap. I don't know why, but a lot of the Ofna parts I've seen are expensive for apparently no reason.

I think a lot of buggies are good for bashing, but if you bash hard then prices on parts can make a big difference.

I have nobody local with GS parts, I use Horizon. They are very good IMO, I get my stuff same week if ordered sunday/monday/sometimes tuesday with normal USPS shipping.

Don't know if you want a used one but I have a HB Pro on the F/S I just rebuilt it so it's ready to go with a new pipe header and elec. I also have a ton of parts with it. People say it holds up to bashing I have only raced it and never had a prob. with it.

A heavy basher will break anything, even if it's made from titanium. If you want to get a buggy and do little or no maintainance ... any buggy will do as long as it stays on the shelf. Honestly though, there's a lot of good strong buggies out there ... GS Storm, Inferno 7.5, Hotbodies, Thunder tiger, Kyosho ... take your pick. They will all break sooner or later, but all have a great fun factor. Just try to get one that will have a good parts/hop up support at your LHS.

I don't know about you guys but all the Local Hobby Shops in my area are T-Maxx, T-Maxx, and more T-Maxx. Shelves and Shelves of t-max. And off to the side, a tiny bit of Ofna, maybe GS stuff. Usually not a comprehensive selection and almost always not what you need.

I bet the hobby is more popular out west, but here in the northeast it's not that big and so really, LHS is likely not going to have what you need. You definately need a reliable online parts dealer for your ride. GS is wicked easy to get from horizon, Ofna parts are available from a few different locations, dunno about the others.

ps. One of the LHS's over here didn't know what GS even was. "General Silicones??" I said, and they said "dunno. never heard of it." Then again, maybe he didn't understand what I was saying because there was so much T-Maxx stuff everywhere you could hardly walk, or breath, or hear anything.

I've also read in a few RC mags, that the 9.5 Violator by Ofna was one of the best basher buggies out there... Tuff as nails....

Don't under estimate the power of the Pirate. He'll bring extra parts and extra r/c's for when he run out of extra parts just to keep on bashing.

It's probably because he broke the pull start and hasn't driven it since. Considering he has a ton of other stuff to drive. Of course it doesn't break when you don't start it
