XTM 1/8 Scale & OFNA 9.5 MBX on the way

I realize this may be a little late to be asking such a question but I have never run thr 1/8 buggies and the question is are the XTM and OFNA 9.5 MBX any good or did I buy two POS?

I just ordered them up online on the spurt of the moment and I wanted to know what oil I should use in the diffs and what type of steering servos are you guys using for 1/8 buggies?

I plan on racing both of the buggies if that type of information helps.

I really like the 9.5's, the MBX should be ok... Don't know about XTM stuff though, had their .21 kit on my maxx and it was just fine, nothing extraordinary..

Servo's... I think I'm a converted HiTec guy, always used HS645MG's for steering, but now I'm running Futaba's and I love them, S3305 for steering and S3010 for T/B.

Diff oil... I just asked the same Q... I'm goin to try 10-10-5 (F to R), kinda wierd I know, but the general formula is somehting like 7-10-5 (f to R).

I think you will be completely happy with the 9.5. As for the XTM, I dont care for them in appearance, as I have handled one a few times already. But that doesnt mean anything. It could be a great buggy.

Regardless, having 8th scale buggies is an absolute BLAST! So no matter what, you should have fun to say the least!

Congrats on the purchase!

Get ready for fun! And lots of replacement parts! This applies to all buggies - hopefully you have some R/C driving experience already, or you're in for a surprise. They are very fast and you can break them pretty easily.

xtm x-terminator is a good strong buggy the only thing is that you will have to brace the shocktower support on the top of the rear diff case the ears have been known to break on hard landings so i make braces for it so pm me ill tell you more about it

I have never run 1/8 scale in racing but I do race RC10GT, T4, B4 on a regular basis with good results. I am going to start racing at a track which runs mostlyl nitro vehicles more specifically 1/8 buggies so I figured I better get something to race the 1/8 class.
