P-5 owners...

Hey guys,
Can anyone tell me how to tell if a Novarossi P-5 is the new or old version? Just got one used and the guy told me he got it last fall. It has 03 stamped on mounting flange? Also if anyone is interested in helping me find a manual or making a copy of theres it would be helpful. I am used to running an o.s. and I was told not to touch the brass needle on the side of the P-5 motor. Any tuning suggestions on this 3 needle system would help.

What do you need from the manual? It is one of the worst ones I have ever seen but I will give info out of it that you need. As for the brass needle I also would not move unless you get it going and need to adj. the mid range for some reason I never had to move them.

Leave the midrange needle (brass) alone for now. Get familiar with tuning the P5, then you could try it then, but I would just leave it alone.

If your engine's looks like this it is the large case


If it looks like this it is the small case


It really doesn't matter which case you have, they both perform the same.
