Stalling issue
I have a friend that has an Ofna MBX that likes to stall at about half tank and then he cannot get it re-started unless he re-primes. He thinks maybe his lid on his fuel tank is leaking and allowing air to escape thus losing pressure and causing fuel starvation. Anybody else run into this or is it a common problem with the fuel tank?
Thanks, Glenn |

Yup, Diver is right. I had a similiar situation where as the buggy warmed up it developed and air leak, proabably due to expansion from the heat, around the banjo fitting on the carb. Not only did it run lean because of the added air, it would flame out and starting was very difficult. As it cooled down it would fire right up and run good until the process repeated itself. Fuel line is cheap. When in doubt, replace it. Seal that engine up, carb and all. And like Diver suggested, get a temp gun/monitor.

Cool, I will have him check those things. I have a temp gun so we will do that as well. I am pretty sure he seals his backplates and carbs routinely, but will check that as well as replace the fuel lines. I just ordered a 50' roll of fuel line from tower, so I think I can spare some.
