Nova Rossi 421P

By default i ended up with a 421P in my K3. I'm still running it in.

Just wondering - all you p5 and Novarossi users, did you have to:
1. wind the low range needle in about 1 turn from factory setting
2. wind high range needle about 3 turns out.

I think, but i'm not sure, that the engine is still being run in because it will cut/flame out at 1/2 tank for no apparant reason. I've put about 4-5 tanks thru it now, so it must be on the way. it starts easily first time, idles well. i have the throttle to 3/4 so far - don't want to rev the shit out of it just yet.

With my VZB it was a cinch to tune, although it did have the flame out problem 1/2 tank until it was fully run in at about 10+ tanks.

Ur comments would be appreciated

I don't own a 421B but I did run into this info. on RCZ & thought you might find it helpfull! I do however own a few novarossi's & find that tuning is more technical than other RC engs. I make very small ajustments on my HSN (high speed needle) instead of 1/8 or 1/4 turns to ajust HSN like on other RC engs. Try 1/12 turns as novarossi carbs. tend to be touchie!
