I belive (someone will correct me I am sure) that 1100mah is equal to 1.1A where the "A" stand for Amps.

tha being siad I belive your pack should be peaked at 1.1A

please let somone else confirm first

"mah" stands for miliamp hours, meaning that the battery can produce 1100 ma for an hour before it's dead. I do believe that this is 1.1 amps, but it's not necessarily a 1.1amp battery, it could do more - if you pull 2.2 amps from it, it will only last 30 minutes. Of course, the battery might not be able to pull 2.2 amps without overheating, but that's how the numbers work anyways. (alternatively, you could pull 550 miliamps from it, and get two hours use out of it.)

Amps are a measure of current. The amperage is an arbitrary value; you can pull more or less from a power source depending on how much you need. It's the voltage that remains constant. (you may be wondering at this point what watts are; a watt is a measure of "electrical power" and is the voltage multiplied by amps. So, if you pull 1.1 amps from your 6v battery, you're using 6.6 watts.)

Unfortunately I wouldn't know the best rate to charge the thing at would be, but at least maybe you got a better idea on what mah means.
