Gs Sut?

What makes the SUT cheaper than the Storm? What does the Storm have that the SUT doesn't?-besides the obvious stuff. The storm RTR costs $550 whereas, the SUT w/ JR XR3i costs $490.

The SUT doesn't come w/ the XR3i. The Storm does. At least I haven't found anywhere that sells the Storm w/ the JR Radio. That has been my biggest complaint, that they abandoned the JR Radio.

Matt

I retract that statement. The SUT does come w/ the JR XR3i for $490 and $450 with the RTR radio. Although both are currently out of stock.

You do have a very good question.

When did they add this RTR combo w/ the JR XR3i? They didn't used to have that option.

idk, I just noticed it yesterday. A friend of mine said he thinks it's probably to stay comptetitive, like who would pay for a $550+ MT???

I would guess they did it to compete with MT prices, make a little less on each unit sell a little more units. There is nothing I see that would warrant the discount as far as what you get.

Thanks, the only reason I could see that the SUT was cheaper than the Storm is to stay competitive w/ other MT's.

Well, If you go to Horizon Hobby you will see that there are Two Storm SUT packages 1 w/ JR radio $489.99 & 1 w/o JR radio $449.99. To me the extra 40 bucks is worth the radio gear even if I don't need it at the time! The JR XR3i is a real fine radio & offres a ton of features for the money! It also offers more than the newbie can handle in most cases. (No Offence Guys!)

Also this is an 1/8 scale MT, where are all the other 1/8 MT for less money?, I can't find "ANY" with as much value as the GS anywhere. Now I'm not slaming any of the competors, I just haven't seen these deals offered!

This GS truck also kicked butt at the NORRCA Nats. Info. at www.gsracing.com

either way man them prices are sky high. $550 for a storm rtr. You better change suppliers. You can easily get a storm rtr with glow pluggs, ignitor, fuel, and fuel bottle for $460.

i looked at both the storm and the sut at my lhs and only difference i could find with the quick glance over besides for the obvious was that the SUT had an aluminum lower bulkhead that held the front arms on...were the storm had plastic..everything else looked pretty much the same. wouldnt that make the sut worth more? (not by much but still that is an upgrade over the buggy)
