needle settings for duratrax axis

does anyone know the proper needle settings for the axis. I get it started just fine but it does not idle right and stalls and stall when i give it gas any idea?

I will try to look who the engine manufacturer is. If it is stalling it sounds like you are a little on the rich side. Turn the high speed needle 1/8 turn clockwise and see if that fixes it. If it makes it worse than put it back. You also might have the low end a little rich, it is hard to say off a short desription. Can you tell me anything else? What have you done so far in the tuning department.

Here are you settings man, sorry it took so long for someone to help you. Get that thing tuned and rip it up! http://www.duratrax.com/faq/faq-q462.html

I had an Axis and a Quake. Both have the same .21 engine and both reacted the same as you describe after break-in. I found that what worked best for me was 2.5 turns out on both high and low needles would work well. What I would usually do was start with that setting and get it started. Then after it was running I would slowly increase the throttle to get it to rev at a high idle until the engine was warm then adjust the high needle clockwise about 1/4 turn to lean it out. Keeping an eye on the temperature. I had very good luck with bashing both vehicles. I broke many parts, but the engines on both are still running strong after almost 3 years. I sold them both to friends that are still enjoying them.
