Storm Jumping 1st Time!
it was snowing last night and now the snow is hard and frozen on the grass so i went across to my local park and tried my luck at jumping! i found a small lump of earth and grass and tried jumping that, good results, nothing broken and got small height then i saw a challenge a old un-used flowerbed and its like 3 foot of ground level of solid earth i got a small bit of speed and got some nice height (about a foot) just small while i get my confidence up i kept getting more speed each time and i got a bit of speed and hit the jmp and the side and there is a little dip of about 2 inches between the grass and the flowerbed the flowerbed being the lower bit and i hit it flipped over and landed right side up after a few roll's i checked it over, nothing broken and got quite a bit of speed and hit it spot of and got about 3-4 foot height and landed right i did this a few times until i ran out of fuel. Im making a wooden jump soon so i can get some more height, i should get my digi cam back by the end of the week and get some pics of me jumping! and by then i should have my new turbo rats!

Beware of jumps. I've got a 3 foot kicker int he back yard i was using for skateboards, but decided to give the RC a run at it. My father, my uncle, my cousin and I serveral times have broken our cars on ramps like that. Going high and landing on flat ground isnt the greatest and remember to let off the gas before you hit the ground or it will strip the dog ears off of the drive shaft.

waste land i noticed in your gallery you have a storm and a terminator in a pic. im debating on my next buggy, and the storm is very highly touted, and that makes it high on my list. i have the x-terminator deluxe, and the only thing i have broken is the arms from immovable objects, and have done the wing mount brace mod. im very pleased with the buggy. so have you seen the durability differences between the storm and the terminator? is the storm alot stronger? if it is then the storm is damn strong becuase i consider my deluxe to be very tough. all the savage owners at the bmx track cant believe it never breaks...hehe

Well the XTM is my fathers and the storm is mine. MY dad isnt the biggest on jumping his car real high and far like I do so yes i break mine but its usually because i was launching it 6 or 7 foot int he air only to land on flat gound. But I love my storm and wouldnt take anything for it, lol

True parts will break why you learn to fly! Tell your dad to bump the throttle a little when his nose is diving. You tires are gyros and with brake or throttle adjustment mid flight you can always land on all fours! Use the brake if your nose is to high, and use throttle if your nose is low, just do little adjustmenst not to big. Give that a try and you will be a pilot in no time!

Ive known that its just that he wont apply it to his driving hes just scared i guess of braking stuff. He's an ex RC Plane flyer so he makes attempts to steer it int he air, that or just pull up real hard on his controller like u do with the game systems, i swear mario jumped harded when i actually pulled up, maybe i was just 7 or so oh well

I better be carefull then hehe, I've launched my Storm Pro 20' high several times on our kicker jump & our local track has a 30' straight-a-way jump that launches 6' high every lap & I have'nt broke a single part from jumping! My buggies a year old now & still no broken parts from jumping, a few loose screws every now & then though!
Pics. of these jumps can be downloaded at: www.teamurc.com Look for = "Buggy Bashin 4" Steve |

My friend jumped his 40 feet over and over and over and landed it flat every time and nothing broke. I don't know what would go wrong at 6-7 feet for it to break. It's hot at balls down here in florida though. Any hotter and the plastics would melt.
