Needle Settings for Storm?

Ok, I just got eveything put together on my Storm. I have the Stock motor and I can't get the stupid thing running. I tried searching, but couldn't find the needle settings for the stock motor.

I've tried screwing the high speed needle all the way in, and then back it out a turn and try to start it. Nothing. All the way back in, now half turns outs, nothing. Only went a total of 4 full turns out. I've only been turning the HSN. Where is the LSN?

Thanks,
Matt

Ok, I read another thread on here about heating the motor w/ a hair dryer. So, I went out and did that. AND, I got it started. However, now I can't keep the motor running without the glow plug ignitor. As soon as I remove it, the motor dies.

What's up with that?

BTW, I got it started at 4 turns out from fully seated on the HSN. Still not sure where the LSN. I see a screw on the end of the slide carb and another screw below that on the opposite side. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Matt

4 turns out should work on most any engine.
Just try to keep it going for 1 tank. Don't rev it up more than 1/2 throttle, just keep it going. Close the HSN 1/16th - 1/8th turn and run 1 more tank. Continue to do this until it stays running and you can properly finnish braking in your new mill.

So a search on this site and you will find a huge amount of info on braking in your new engine.

Yeah, I've read a lot about breaking in engines and was going to heat cycle mine for a few tanks.

I think I have figured out the LSN.
1) There is a screw on the end of the carb that adjust idle, correct?
2) There is another screw lower and that is the LSN, correct?
3) The idle screw should set the screw so that the opening is 1-2 mm open when fully closed, correct?
4) But, how many turns should the LSN be?
5) Why can't I keep the engine running when I remove the glow ignitor?

Thanks,
Matt

Factory setting for that engine here. Although that is a good base you cannot use this as a rule of thumb.

It's in my bookmarks, but they don't have a lot of useful info there, so I don't usually look.
