MINI "T" Track Now Open In Staten Island

Hello guy's

We have been working on this track for a long time, but now the time has come.
They used to run races every weekend on this track, but the owner took sick, and let the track alone for a few years. Now his son wants to get everything going again.
This is a great little track behind Brownies Hobbies in Staten Island NY.
I dont know the exact size of the track, but my best estimate is about 30' X 65'.
The track is off road (dirt) with 4" black flex drain tubing as barriers. We finished building the jumps and laying out the track and painting today.
All modifications on the "T"s are allowed EXCEPT THE MOTOR HAS TO BE STOCK!!! Ans the 7.2 Battery pack is the highest allowed!!
Anything else goes.
There are pit tables, electric, and a hobby shop on premisis, and a new AMB lap counter system.
Racing is supposed to start at night, so everyone can get there after work.
I'll give you the info as I get it.
I will also post pic's of the track ASAP.
I'll keep you all posted on if it will be opened for sure this weekend and how much it will cost to race. I think the track will have practice days also.

NO NITRO ALLOWED!!
No monster trucks.
Gates will open at 6:00 pm.
Racing starts at 7:00
Race fee is $10
If anyone is interested in going to this, let me know by posting here.
Thanks guy's
Rob

So how many people are racing total?

So far, off handed guess, about 6 to 10 guy's.
He did NO advertising that the track would open.
I had a poster made, and brought it to the store today.
He should have had a sign up 2 months ago.
The field will grow as word gets out about the track.
I practiced on it today with one of the guys mini's.
What a nice track.

Sounds great...and I sold my MINI T .....oh well...good reason to get something electric again !!! See you guys Sunday...any pix ?

It was raining today, and the track didn't look so great wet!
It really is a nice track.
Team 17,
Gothals bridge to , Martin Luther King expy, Bayonne bridge exit.
take to richmond terrace exit. (last exit in NY)
at stop sign, go right to light. Make a left, and go strait to port richmond ave.
Make a left, and go strait to Bennett ST. Make a right.
The store is on your right side in the middle of the block.

Is there knowone interested in going??
Wow!
I really am suprized.
You can show up just to check it out.
I have no partnership or anything invested . Just time helping out a friend.
Just thought that a lot of people would be looking for a place to race.

Added pic's..Bump

Ratzo, I sold my mini after it went off my 16th floor terrace, however I would buy another one in a heartbeat if I had somewhere to race, like where i was today. (scale of course)
