I purchased a night crawler a couple of months ago. I just finally was able to do some crawling with it last weekend. This is my first crawler and it was pretty cool. My question is this, what do you recommend for upgraded motor, wheels, tires, etc? I don't like my cars stock, so it is about time to upgrade since I found a "spot". Thanks.

For the motor I would get a new ESC/Motor combo, 2 of my friends run the Novak Goat 3S ESC with a 18.5 Motor combo with 3 cell lipo batteries and it works really well

I really like the Vanquish Products wheels they mount up easy, I would go with DH2's up front.

And one of there SLW wheels for the rear, if you want them to match the SLWV4 is what you would want.

You will also want a set of weights for the front wheels, will also need to order bead lock rings and Losi specific hubs. I would probably go with a 585 DH2 hub for the front and a 475 SLW hub for the rear.

For tires The Hot bodies White Dot Rovers with some Panther F400 foams is a great over all set up.

2 sets of each.

That should get you set up well and make a huge improvement.

Mot sure what your running for batteries but these would be a good option to run with the ESC/Motor combo I suggested.

Thanks for the info. I will be looking into these. What about suspension, linkage, servos, and that kind of stuff?

I would look into some Losi Comp Crawler steering linkage for the steering.
This Titanium set up from Lunsford would be really nice.

Aluminum Knuckles and C hubs would be a great improvement as well.

I would replace your lower links with delrin, titanium, or aluminum, it will make the crawler more predictable and solid. same with the upper links.

You would also need the stock rid ends to go with these.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I now have a list going, and will start buying.

I picked up a Losi Night Crawler a couple of months ago and have done nothing to it.I like to test them out for a while before making any changes/upgrades.The stock tires are o.k,the shocks work fine(softer springs are a good first upgrade),the ESC has a lipo cutoff and the motor seems to have enough torque for my needs-I don't have time for competitions, just social crawling.Normally I try to avoid"bling" upgrades and go for motor/ESC changes, more powerful servo-around 12kg(400oz)and alloy shocks as well as a low cg battery mount. These are my own personal choices and are good enough for what I do.Don't get me wrong -I love bling and have 2 lcg Slash 2WD'S with carbon fiber chassis and ALL alloy upgrades-almost too good to drive!

What about chassis upgrades? I don't know why, but I hate the chassis on my LNC.
