Want to get the most out of your batteries? Tired of dumping before the race is even over? What you need to make sure you can deliver a full charge to your batteries is Dynamite's powerful Mega Peak AC/DC Peak Charger.
The Mega Peak is more than just a peak charger - it's a versatile peak charger capable of charging both electric car packs and gas car receiver packs. This is possible because the Mega Peak offers two different charge rates, 4 amp and 1 amp. The 4 amp charge rate is used for charging 6-7 cell NiCd battery packs as found in most electric cars, trucks, and buggies. A universal receiver plug is included. With the 1 amp charge rate you can safely fast charge any 4-5 cell gas car receiver pack with the included receiver charge cord adapter.
As A peak detection charger, the Mega Peak allows your batteries to reach their full capacity when charging so you can get the most power and run time from your batteries. It achieves this by using peak detection circuitry that monitors the voltage of the battery pack while it's being charged and automatically shuts the charger off when the voltage of the packs peaks and then starts to drop. This is in contrast to a timed charger, where you often end up with a battery pack that's not fully charged.
In addition, with the Mega Peak all you have to do is select the charge rate and push the start button - there's absolutely nothing to monitor.
The Mega Peak also features AC/DC power inputs. With the AC power cord, you get the convenience of charging indoors from a household (110-120V) wall socket. For use outside, the DC cord is supplied with alligator clips for connection to a 12 volt power source, such as the 12 volt battery in your car.
For added protection, Mega Peak is fuse protected from reverse polarity. Additionally, you'll find that there's a small internal fan mounted to the case for extra cooling. This provides the Mega Peak with a case and faceplate that's not only easy on the touch, but also extends the life of the components. As with all of Dynamite's other Mega Series chargers, the Mega Peak is backed with a 5-Year Warranty.
