Well I'm 16 and got my first car a few days ago. My brother is at college so I was able to use his Ford Escort :puke: but summer is coming and I need my own car. My real passion is cars so I have to drive in style don't I? I saw this car on the side of the road and fell in love. Less than a week later here it is in my driveway! :D

My dad used to own a 1991 Dodge stealth back in the day so he had a set of wheels that fit right on my car. Its a 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT, not the VR-4 cause my dad doesn't want me to have turbos, but this thing is already damn fast. It has the 24V 3.0L V-6 and the previous owner put on a High Performance Cold-Air Intake system on it am I'm guessing its putting out around 230 HP, I think a tad more than 220 stock or so...

It has a nice Aplin Deck w/Boston Acustics speakers all around with 2 12'' subs in the truck :D The sterio is unbelieveable and so is the rest of the car. Its a 5-Speed standard too...:)

That is a nice ride Bro. Congrats! I am not a big fan of a Sub box that big. I prefer to keep it smaller . I had a single JL W0 12" that it harder than most Dual woofer box's. I had a 1/2 farad cap as well so I could bump it well and not look lame with dimming lights. Get us a pic of the interior!
 
Yea, if I was to buy my own sub set up it would be one nice one, but this is what it came with and I'm not complainin!

Hey, that's not a bad first car! Mine was a 1966 VW Squareback. Had it 6 months, never ran so ditched it cheap, convinced the parents needed a new car, got a 1980 RX-7.
 
Yea, I can't believe my parents let me get this, especially as my first car. Its a blast to drive and the exhaust is just nasty...:D Heres a few more for you guys.

SAH-WEEEEET......nice ride...I agree w/ pop on not allowing you to have the VR-4 version...they are just evil cars.....get some driving experience before getting into a monster....that one you got there is no sissy car either...just remember it can only go as fast as the speed limit.....LOL....I should listen to my inner voices more often on that one...
 
Thats a pretty sweet first car, nice steering wheel cover! haha. I have one JL12W6 that is just insane. So how many miles are on it? And what is the first thing you want to put on your new car?
 
That is a very sweet car exspecially for your first ride!! My first car was a 69 Valiant, when I got it from my dad,s ex girl friend it was a heap lol needed a motor and tranny and was rusted really bad behind the rear wheels. I Changed the motor and tranny, worked all summer and got all the body work done then I bought some Crager SS wheels and then slammed it. I loved that car lol never finished it a icy road and a telephone pole ended that project real quick lol. Here is a pic of one, not mine, I never made it to paint it was just in grey primer but looked tuff!


 
nice car, now go wash it, buff it, and wax it. take a drive to your local CVS and get some rubbers. youll need em with that whip. :cheers:
 
AC48, I think I should tell you this. Don't drive like crazy now, save up some money to have the timing belt change. I had a bad experience with Mitsubishi engine. Other than that, very nice ride :)
 
LOL at Corrado, I've washed it once already and got dirty the next day. Its a black car so it'll be dirty most of the time. CVS will be my next stop :D. And yea MyJeep I've heard of the timing belts going and destroying the engine on the 3000GT. Something I should look into.
 
Nice car, you could really do a lot to a 3000GT. IMO, the car scream TURBO, just don't let your dad find out ;)

Out of curiosity, considering you're only 16, is insurance gonna rape you?
 
AHHH New Hampshire.....do they still not require Car Insurance? hence one of the reasons to live free or die......
 
When you're 16 insurance always rapes you, now that I'm driving a 3000GT its just gunna rape me harder. I thought they required it...idk but the parents wouldn't let me drive without it anyways.

I may do a few little things t spruce up the interior and make it a bit more colorfull. I don't really like the white thing around the guages so I may get a CF one of those, and I want to get some after market guages that look awesome. Other than that I'm so broke I don't think I'll be able to get anything else for it lol.
 
Thats a nice ride! My 1st car was a 1993 Mercury Cougar 5.0L. Was pretty sweet.

Is that car a 5 speed?
 
sweet ride. my buddy in the navy has a vr-4. that is THE scariest car I have ridden in.
