I went to my LHS to pick up what I would need for the spider mod. They had one set of the bevel gears in and one full Diff. Bought both of those. They also provided me with some GS Storm bevel gear sets. They recommended tossing the actual gears and just using the rods for the spider mod. Why toss the GS gears? They are aluminum and bound to get chewed up in the grinder that a Savage is. Anyway, if you are going to do the mod...do it right and wait for the right gears. HPI gears are case hardened steel and can handle a lot.
