I would do what you can to fill in the gaps underneath. Keep the air going over the top instead of creating a parachute.

If you send me the videos I can overlay the mph readout into the run video I think. Never tried it, but I have a decent video editor I play around with. I can at least try, and it would be a fun little project.

You're doing a helluva job man. Runs can be dealt with easy enough with a sanding block. Especially if it's sandable primer. It's getting so close man. Dying to see the finale.

Yup. They should work there as long as the set screw is the correct size for that pin hole. I can't remember what size that is.

I used them on our drag build. You would thread the studs into a standoff then put the o-ring on, then the body, then the nut. Since you're painting the body on the outside I presume, you would want some body washers under the nuts. https://www.amainhobbies.com/search?cID=&s=body+washers Here...

    You could try these https://www.amainhobbies.com/proline-extended-body-mount-thumbwasher-kit-4-pro6070-02/p237047

I thought the same thing when I saw some of that guy's videos. Really creative ideas. He does a pair of Converse sneakers that is really cool too.

It fits in here. Maybe @WoodiE can move this thread to the Paint and Body forum, as I would suggest you go ahead and keep updating both threads simply because it's relevent for each forum 😉

You might just have to run it backwards for that 😆

I kinda figured in the beginning you were aiming for more of a 3 wheeled speed run car look.

I love the Top Gear episode where Clarkson keeps rolling the Robin.

One thing I will say about adding those front, fake wheels - if your car tilts at all and those make contact, really bad things are going to happen I would think. And you can't be a Brit and tell me you don't love this 😅

Then maybe, if it were me, I would look into styrene. Like I said, it's super easy to work with. It forms easily with boiling water or a hair dryer or heat gun. It can be glued easily and is easily repaired. Plus it will be a lot more rigid than lexan, depending on how thick the styrene sheet...

Back in the day, my friend's dad built the baddest RC car I have ever seen. It was a 1/4 scale Mustang funny car body on a pulling tractor chassis. He even built a 1/4 scale sled to pull behind it that he scaled down from actual blieprints he hot for one of the big named pulling sleds here in...
