I never was much of a rum drinker. But I had some Captain Morgan Black Label rum that was really good. We just drank it straight and I actually loved it. But we couldn't buy it around here. That bottle came back from Chicago with my friend's wife.
I used to drink Beam. After drinking Wild Turkey, Beam tastes like water to me now. Try the American Honey with a vanilla coke. A bartender gave me one and she kinda got me liking mixed drinks again.
Yeah, it was funny when we went to Jack Daniel's distillery. It is actually in a dry county, and we couldn't even sample the whiskey. But I found it funny that the big bib-overall wearing bearded hillbilly that was giving us the tour seemed to stress "Tennessee Whiskey" every single time he said...

I don't drink anymore because even sober I am scared of falling down. But when I did drink occasionally it was Wild Turkey. Rare Breed, Russell's Reserve, American Honey, and Rye were my favs. I see they have some really interesting new recipes out now though that I would love to try.
