The smaller wheels and lower COG will help. You can also add weight to the front like @Chubaka suggested. Turning down the punch on the ESC can help. You could also loosen the slipper a 1/4 turn.

As long as you mesh the spur and pinion properly you shouldn't have any issues. This is still relatively close to the VXL3S system, but way more efficient because of the 120amp ESC and higher RPM motor.

The 23/86 is gonna get you up to around 55mph on 3S. So you're still good! You can also go with a larger pinion on the 76T to fill in the gap without having to modify the case. You're going to be moving into 70MPH territory with anything larger than a 26T pinion. I'm sorry for not giving you...

Just as a reminder, 32-pitch and 48-pitch aren't compatible. I would reccomend taking it down to 76T, but that's because I'm a fan of more speed. The 16/90 with stock tires should put you right around 40mph. With a 20/76 ratio, you'd be at 60mph.

The transmitter doesn't "pair" with the ESC. It pairs with the reciever. As long as you don't need to change that, you should be fine. You will need to do a throttle calibration after the swap. The instructions will include everything you need to do that, which is a very simple process. If you...

Higher KV motors have higher max RPMs, but less torque. Think of it like a 4-cylinder motor. Lower KV motors have lower max RPMs, but much more torque, like a V8. For a 2WD, 3700kv or 4000kv would be fine since your truck is lighter. They would be right around a V6. I like higher KVs for...

The answer depends on your budget. A new truck can be upwards of $350++ depending on the manufacturer and drivetrain configuration. For a quarter of that you could easily just convert the truck to brushless. I agree with the earlier posters about the 10bl120/4000kv QuicRun system from Hobbywing...
