Got some small rods that are holding the control arms up. They came from the factory with oil. I know this may sound stupid but I know some parts don't need oil if I do indeed some to do the same would it be ok to use some of the Prather oil?
Found out some more greats news.
It seems that there's a major difference in the size of the crankshaft compared to my previous engine. it is also harder to pull to start. I managed to find a kit on amazon so hopefully those parts would fit better?
Also the air filter nozzle seems to be...
Do you think these would fit my air filter enclosure ? for the vx-18 they look about the right size.

PS can't find O'Donnell will have to use Sidewinder. Was also wondering if it might be better to...
Just got my engine, after the first was lost in transit by DHL. Got some more questions about the engine.
1st. Is the Air filter, is there any material I can use that does not require oil? Would Amain hobbies have what I am looking for? as far as oils and filters.
2nd. The Morgon Fuels...
Discovered this when I took the Clutch Bell and shoes off. Would it be possible to lightly sand of grind that down? for some reason the shoes have a bump of some sort and that has ground against the Clutch Bell.
Well I want to try that first before anything else. I am ordering from amazon in the event I have to return it.
1. Do I absolutely need a flywheel wrench and valve lock tool?
2. In the event I need another flywheel etc would this work ok - Link
Ok so I made some progress with getting more of the engine taken apart. The diameter seems to be the same size as the vx-18 (5mm) you mentioned. My problem is how do I measure the crankshaft size? The vx-18 says its 15mm.
Pics!
So far from my perspective it seems like the vx-18 would work if...
Ok so I took a look at the manual they give, and they do use a nut with a longer end on it coming off the flywheel. I did measure the end of the nut which was all I could get to at the time. And the diameter was 5mm so I moved onto the clutch shoes which I have some weird clutch shoes which do...
Ok major problem here with this engine. my crankshaft length is 26mm where as this is only 15mm what do I need to do look for an engine the same length?
Alright so if you're in the market for a nitro monster truck and have a budget of around 250 what are some good brands that have plenty of parts to look out for?
Looks fantastic love it.
1. When is a good time to take apart the engine for a good thorough cleaning.
2. I use Prather oil it what was recommended is that alright?
3. Should I store my engine in a plastic bad for winter time after applying oil in carb and glow plug area
4. I wonder what...
Ok so if I have to find a new engine I have some questions related to that.
1. What brands should I look out for?
2. Would my existing flywheel and such work with the new engine?
3. Would it also be able to fit on my engine mounts?
I can't think of anything else at the moment but I will post...
Picture time!
As you can see the Wrist pin pad is the broken white plastic piece (Left) was inside the hole on the wrist pin (Right) holding the connecting rod to the piston. I believe the pad and pin came together as one piece.
