its much harder on hex's and i ended up stripping out 2 wheels before i gave up on them. (thats with 14mm)
23mm is huge in comparison but i found mine getting loose on me so i went back to 14.
i wouldnt be too concerned with a shorter plug. A longer one and the piston might hit it. You may have to retune but i don't think anything like what happened to mine will occur
i can't tell if it will work but i wouldn't run it if i was you. I had an S25 and ran out of plugs so i went to the lhs to grab some more. They didn't have my mc-59's in stock but sold me another one they SWORE was a direct replacement. I got about 20 yds down the road and i heard a loud POP...
I can't comment on either of those engines but i ran the OS .18TM in mine and it RIPPPED. I forget who i sold it too but he was super impressed with it as well. The OS is easy to tune and makes great power.
their shocks look great but i just have stock lst's
The X arms only have one mounting location for the bottom of the shock whereas the S25 arms have two locations. The bottom adapter piece bolts into both lower mounts and then gives you a single mount for the bottom of the LST shock. I...
like he said, flm makes tons of products. I went with their tvp's, skid plate, servo mounts, servo plate, and engine mount.
The best part is their customer service and lifetime warranty.
twisted toys has been hit and miss for awhile. I run the FLM lcg and extended 1.6" tvp's and although i recieved the first ever "incorrectly machined" set, i would still buy their products again. Great customer service and top notch products.
how is it extended? 5" in front, 5" in back, or 2.5" front and back.
as mentioned before, turning will suck but you will have plenty of room to work on stuff.
btw jon2. you wouldn't recognize your savage. :)
5mm hex's huh? lol :D
sounds nice. hopefully you are going...
stock brakes suck, dual disc stock conversion brakes suck. The only ones worth having are the crazy nut racing dual disc brakes.
a stock savage might be ok with the dual discs but a heavier modded one will eat through them in no time.
i run the RR steel c/b with a single slipper plastic spur on an OS.30. I can flip the truck over even though its extended, lcg, mid tanked, and has the hump pack right above the front diff. My spur looks brand new.
