If you want to stay at a reasonably priced 1/10 scale truck for just bashing around (not racing), the Hpi nitro mt2 is very good, I hear. I had a first generation nitro mt and it was pretty fun and somewhat durable

most 6v batteries I have found on the net have 4 1.5v F style batteries in them. Notice, when he dumps those 32aa batteries, there are no wires connection some in series to make 6 volts, and some in parallel to produce more mah's? i don't know.

Looks nice, but I have the dual SS brakes on my Savage X (kit came with them), and they are plenty strong. They modulate decent, and I am able to do one wheel pirouettes if I stop and turn the wheel. But these look even better.

I am also not getting hardly any turning when the truck sits on a tile floor (stopped, and moving steering left or right). I have the bell crank steering on it, as the SS comes with, the adjustment collar is at 4 mm per the manual. My steering servo is hitec hs-5645MG, so plenty of torque...
