    it lives!!!!!!!!! my help from my dad{taught him some stuff along the way}it just ran for about 15 minutes.got new dirt works tires for the back.still got some work to do on the car,but that is minor stuff.at least it runs,nice heavy cloud of smoke.

    actually i got half of the motor apart{starting from the starter back} and used carb cleaner get clean the motor,but i can't seem to get off the nut holding the clutch shoe off.how could i get it off? thinking about it now,i didn't see a c-clip.it's prob. lodged in the crank

    i took apart the motor and it seems everything is ok.i found shavings laying in the bottom of the crankcase,cleaned them out and tomorrow going to call up Tower Hobby.i pulled off the recoil starter and unwound it,but got it back together again after about 5 tries.

    i got the bearings but held on the servo.i got home and with help of my dad,a tapered reamer and some light machine oil the car is fine now.the camber is a little off,but i'll fix it tomorrow.

    yeah,i just got done with replacing the front bearings that were worn,i still gotta get some 5x10's for the back cause the guy at the LHS only had 6 5x10mm bearings and i needed 8. i guess when i get to the LHS i'll get 4 5x10mm bearings,a steering servo and servo saver kit.any suggestion for...

    it's not strong at all.all the teeth are their on the horn and on the servo side.

    i think the steering servo is burnt in the maxium ST.the problem is it's weak in turning left or right on the pavement and in the air.i checked the batteries and they are all in the green. man,now i gotta get a new one and a servo saver.

    just got done with boiling it for the hell of it and it's welded shut.the good thing is the left one was tight and with the smallest allen key i have,unscrewed it.thx for your help.i should have used locite,but i thought it came with locite on it already.guess i was wrong.

    i'l try the boiling tomorrow,i'll take it apart again and try it.if it don't work i'll get two cups for the rear tomorrow or friday from the LHS.

    nope,i never used any loctite on it.i only used locite on the screws that hold the motor cause of the vib. shook them loose.you know looking at the inside of the cup,i swear it look like the set screw was welded to the cup to prevent any type of over-tightening.

    sorry about the pic,i usually don't take close pictures. i just got back from downstairs and got the cup off,the set screw is tight and won't budge but it comes off easily from the pilot shaft.the set screw doesn't go though the the other side.
