Thanks for all the replies so far. I was trying the get the clutchbell on there and I was checking the play in it. After doing that a few times the screw head snapped off. I don't remember if it snapped while tightening or loosening. I'm going to try to heat it up to see how it goes and I'll try...
Ok. Thank you. It might be sometime until I work on the motor since my season is pretty much over. I know if I do upgrade that the Ofna .28 engine has a lot of power and I own one(Ofna DM 1 spec) and the HPI .28 is also on my short list. I don't want to put an lrp in this truck because it was a...
Thanks for the replies and the advice. It's greatly appreciated. I will try to heat up the screw and see if I can get it out. There's not much to work with as far as the screw sticking out of the crank. I don't want to damage the crank unless I cut it and put an adapter on it.
Hello all. It's been a long time since I've been here due to everyday life. With working 6 days a week, going to the gym 3 times a week and other things, I had the most unproductive rc season since 2009. I normally run about 10 tanks in my Baja but this season I've only ran 3. So I'm looking...
Sorry to be the Debbie Downer but If I we're you I would run that 3.3 into the ground before upgrading. Chances are that 3.3 will blow the connecting rod if it lives up to it's reputation. Just my .02 cents.
I actually used one on my old GS storm buggy. I have one that's been used and I have a brand new one as well as a novelty item. I won't even use one on my 1:1 car since I seen this:

Any 1/8th scale buggy body will work as long as the engine hole lines up. You can't make a body with a left engine hole work for a buggy where the engine is on the right.
That's what I was thinking. My basement got damp last year due to a small leak in my water pipe. I got the pipe replaced as soon as we could. I'm knocking on wood that no other rc's are affected.
So before I ran it today I unplugged the servos and then re binded the receiver and radio along with the failsafe. It seemed to help but for some reason while running my engine would not go full throttle and seemed held back. My settings on my radio didn't change and after a bit I would either...
Thanks for the replies. I wasn't sure about the DX4C because it's not listed on their website as having a fail safe but the DX3C is stated as having one. On a side note I finally got my daughters savage running after I replaced the 3 speed with a two speed so I'll try the wires and run my truck...
Thanks for the replies. That's the only thing I have not tried when it comes to disconnecting the wires. I will try this and also re bind the system as well when I have some time. I was looking at the Spektrum radios because of the free receiver offer and I was wondering since the DX3C has a...
I've had my Savage XL since October of 2010 but really didn't run it until spring of 2011 because I had a faulty carb that HPI took care of 3 weeks later and my season was done. Fast forward to this year where I've had no problems up until my last outing until today. My last outing I had range...
Two things I would try is to use green slime from team associated. You just put some slime on the needle o rings and that will take care of any future air leaks. The second thing you can try is to ditch the crappy R5 glow plug for a McCoy 59. These have made my engine way better and it holds a...
I usually run my LSN about 3/4 of a turn out from flush which the manual recommends. I run the HSN around 1 and 1/4 past the groove. 1.5 turns past the groove is the maximum leanest setting per the manual. HPI does not recommend adjusting the mid range needle. I had trouble keeping it started...
It's quite possible that while taking off your spur gear you stretched the e clip causing it to not stay on. My suggestion would be to get a 6mm e clip from home depot that hardened steel. The part number for .the HPI one is Z106. Here's a link to the page at home depot if it helps...
I've got a friend of mine hooked on the hobby and he likes 10th scale stadium trucks. So I'm trying to find him a decent truck so he can learn on it and get into the hobby on the cheaper side. In all honesty he won't need starting equipment, a charger, or any other extra gear because for the...
So I'm running my old school rc10gt with an older traxxas pro .15 that was in my tmaxx first gen. Last time out I burned out my glow plug so I replaced it with the usual traxxas glow plug. I'm looking at glow plug while it's running to get a temp with my temp gun and I notice fuel bubbling...
My 5SC is pretty loud in stock form with the 26cc with the stock black can muffler. If I we're upgrade the exhaust to the SS pipe or a rear dom, then it would be stupid loud. I don't do that because I have respect for my neighbors and where I run in a park, there's some houses nearby. On the...
