    hard to pull start

A friend of mine had a similiar problem. It turned out to be old fuel which wasn't stored properly. An easy way to tell if your fuel has gone bad....poor a little on your skin (away from any open wounds of course). If its cool and light, kinda like alcohol, its good. If it feels room temp...

    What is best???????

Well, I've only owned one buggy, so my opinion may be a little biased, but the Kyosho Inferno is a very good buggy. They have at least 3 kits available.... Inferno MP 7.5 Sport (more of a beginers kit, which is what I have) - comes with a GS .21 Sport engine, which pretty much blows. And to...

    New Engines and questions

Ah, gotcha, I missed the hex opening on the nut. Getting it nice and tight I see how that'll hold it in place. I couldn't get it very tight using pliars on the smooth shaft. The buggy is going to need a new everything between the gear and the engine, so I'm going to try out a 3 shoe clutch...

    New Engines and questions

Woohoo, I just got two new engines for each of my cars. A fantom for my Adam Drake and the Ofna Picco O-1 BP for my kyosho. I've got a couple questions... All my previous RC engines used a flat spot on the crank shaft to seat the flywheel. I'm not sure I explained that well, the crank...

    3 shoe clutch?

    3 shoe clutch?

Is a 3 shoe clutch better than a 2 shoe clutch? I'm thinking it just grabs better since it has the extra shoe. Grabs better, slips less, more low end power?

    xmas bonus = new toys

xmas bonus = new toys, well at least as much as my woman will let me spend, so I'm looking for some opinions on what to get. Currently I have a Kyosho Inferno 7.5 sport, And I'm selling a car to help buy a new XXX-NT Inferno upgrades already in place: Front/Rear CVDs hardend chassie...

    Engine Questions

Ok, so I'm not that mechanically inclined. In the past, when my first engine started running like crap I just bought a new one. I didn't think I would be able to take one apart and replace worn out parts, but today I got bored and took apart an engine. After seeing it in pieces I think I can...

    1/8 foam tires

I race at a hard packed clay oval, well, twice now :) The fastest guys there run foams, but I can not find any for 1/8 scale. I've checked at 4 different LHS and every on-line shop I know of....nadda. Anybody know where I can find some?

    Monster VS Stadium

I'd say it depends on what you want to do. Bashing - TMaxx or HPI Savage, personally I'd go with the Savage just because I don't like the slow TMaxx's :) Bashing and Racing - RC10 or XXX-NT, much faster, much more fun to race, lots of competition. These trucks can really grow, I've seen...

    Racing Poll

My favorite is 1/8th scale dirt oval. Why? Because its the only kind of racing I can afford to get into :) But if money wasn't an issue.... Nascar - defintally a fun race, most cars are fairly equal, lots of racing. Sort tracks are nearly a demolition derby, and the superspeedways really...

Whats the deal with the Tmaxx?

Every RC web page I visit has something about the tmaxx. But at my two local tracks I've only seen one once....and it didn't look like it was running all that great. Actually I'm the only guy at either track with a 1:10 4wd truck, excluding the one rare appearnace of the tmaxx. I find...

    Inferno Sport Engine

According to the manual....there may or may not be a low side needle adjustment. Maybe not those exact words, but it definitally implied that it may or may not have a LSN adjustment. I've looked at the engine...the screw where the LSN should be is tight, I mean really tight, far tighter than...

    Stupid Fuel Line question

I see guys with I swear 2 feet of fuel line between pipe & tank and between tank & carb. Is there a point to this or do some people just think it looks cool?

    Inferno Sport Engine

Well, I'm not so upset about the engine now. I found two things which made a big difference... 1. The header had been slowly working itself loose and the exhaust was leaking, I just thought it was loud because this was my first time at an indoor track and everybody else was running 1:10 at...
