I had same problem... When I first got my Savage 25 I had the same problems, it is just part of the break-in process. In fact I had to run about fifteen full tanks before mine was running "the way it was supposed to". I just ran mine a few week ago after letting it sit all winter in my garage...

Truck looks great, but havn't heard much about the new 4.6. I would like to know once you get a chance to drive it a bit how the engine compares to other brands .28 engines. Like Ofna, and Team Orions. I was thinking of buying a .28 for my Savage 25 this summer, still not to sure.

I think 20% is the best.Higher nitro content will blow glow plug really fast.I know this from experience because my uncle ran it in all his cars and trucks and he blew a glow plug just about every other run.And his engines werent over-heating. :)

That may be why everyone's is over heating?

I am pretty sure the gears are bad.But I am going to tear it apart somtime this weekend to find out for sure.Same thing happened to my uncle's.

Anyone know how much it costs?I need to get some money before I do this. :) I know HPI diff gears cost $5.00, but I have no clue about the other need things.On the mod page for 4-spider mod it dosnt have any base prices. Thanks, Powerman6766

Why does that Savage have Maxx tires on it?Just curious... :)

They say maxx is a 1/10 but look how much bigger it is compared to other 1/10 scale trucks, like Stampede.The older version are fairly smaller than a Savage but the newer ones are supposed to be about the same size only sit lower to ground.

No I don't have the 4-spider mod.But yeah this same thing happened to my uncle's T-Maxx and now it is happeneing to my Savage. What could have caused this?How do I got about doing the 4-spider mod, or whatevere else.Not sure about the spider mod, maybe if I get some parts numbers. Thanks...

The back wheels arnt turning on my Savage 25, so I am running front wheel drive. The same thing happened to my uncle's T-Maxx where the back wheels wouldn't turn. Come to find out that the gears were chewed up in the back of my truck. (Sorry but I forget what it is called, if you could name off...

From your experience what engine do you think is the best drop in for the Savage 25?I am thinking of buying and engine like a Picco or somthing but I am nto sure wich one is best.What I plan to do witht he truck is just backyard stuff and fun no raceing.I do want to do some wheelies and mayeb...

What more powerful engine would you suggest and give me a link if you happen to have one.

Somthing easy, buy a tuned pipe (I have a ribbed one and it made alot of a difference in power, plus it sounds better and a little louder). I also got the HIgh Proformance Air Filter 15mm. You will learn soon enough that you ahve to clean your current stock air filter every 3-4 runs if you run...
