No i did the same thing on my 2.5. all you need to do is use the clutch bell that was on your 2.5 engine so the pitch is the same as the 2.5 tranny.
I also later bought the 3.3 tranny and installed it on my truck. its possible but takes a bit of work. the tranny it self fits right in place but...
ya i managed to somehow break my rear bulkheads where it attaches to the bumper. funny thing is that the RPM bumper is just fine but the bulkheads both died. i sort of dont want to bother to have to take everything apart in the rear to put in a replacement bulk. right now i have my brothers...
Can you give us some more info? how old is the engine?
so the engine now runs but is really rich and it only moves the truck when you get to half throttle or more? sounds like it is running rich and that you will need to lean it out.
ya for regular driving i would go with RPM arms and bumpers. my stock bulkheads broke and the RPM bumpers are still fine. so I'm going to upgrade to aluminum bulkheads. just just had no reason to justify buying them until now.
Nice looks like you got yourself a good deal on that baby. but i see what happened to the shaft and the tranny. looks like though you are no stranger to stangs so shes now in good hands! :)
Have fun with the new baby
well i looked at RPMs warranty and its not covered cause it hit a construction vehicle, does not fall under wear and tear or a defect lol. luckily i got the arms from my brother who went aluminum and recently i bought the True-Trac system for the rear so i had 2 sets of spares so i just replaced...
I found a spare steering arm that my brother had around from his truck so I'm all good. as for the length all i know is that its smaller than the rear toe links
Changing the spur gear is more fine tuning your gear ratio when it comes to the gear ratio between the spur and the clutch bell. If you want a bigger change in torque change out your clutch bell. If you want to change in smaller increments to get more torque, put more teeth on the spur gear...
Think about it like a car. If I were to sail around a corner in my mustang and drop the clutch with the gas punched the rear end would be all over the place and I would prob do a 180 or even more. (Though I have done that :) but not on any roads; I'm not that stupid) Like what has been said...
Hey just to give you some idea for some comparison. For me to get a gallon of fuel for my Maxx it cost me $46 and then $10 for shipping so $56 total for a gallon of Traxxas 20%. I have to ship it to me cause no car out at college and no LHS. :(
So while the initial pricing is steep your...
Hey well I made the mistake of letting my room mate drive my truck around for a little bit. He ended up hitting a bobcat. At first I thought it would be fine cause it was not too hard of a hit but I saw it was sitting weird when he started driving again. So ya it was hard enough to do damage...
huh i have not had any problem with my screws coming out of the bottom arm and i have had the arms for over a year and have removed them and reinstalled them many times
Sorry you had to learn the hard way. also if you look at Integys warranty it says basically that if you install the parts on your truck the warranty is void. how full of bull is that?
RPM makes their products out of a blend of nylons (sp) and they are darn near impossible to break from normal wear and tear. Also, if it does break on you they will just about always replace it for free if you did not modify the part at all
You can get RPM off ebay or almost any other online...
