Can anyone identify which model savage this is? I just got it in a trade. Ignore the "Savage X" on the body as I believe the previous owner just got the X Body. I know it's not an X. I believe it might be a Savage 25 though, but not 100% sure since this is the first one I've owned.
I'll...
That works too. There will always be air getting up under the body as well, so you don't NEED to cut extra holes unless you're having some higher than desired temps. Make sure there is an exit spot for the warm air behind the engine though.
More airflow never hurts though....so cut wherever...
I picked up a 5 @ a month or so ago on Verizon. Love it so far. My first iPhone since I've been an Android user for the past few years. Loving it thus far though ;-)
Everything listed is a FULL set of 4 tires/wheels unless otherwise specified. Tread percentage is a guesstimate on what's left. Anything above 80% I would put on to run a main without a problem. Anything below 80%, well.....subject to track conditions and what other sets I might have available...
Friday nights in fuquay is still on road night ;-) We also have an off road track in Fuquay. http://www.capefearrcraceway.com
Awesome place to race....come check it out sometime ;-)
The SCTE is a GREAT Race rig! I've been racing mine for @ a year or so now. I put a Tekin RX8 and Tekin Pro4 4600kv motor in it. Thing flies on a 2s ;-) Runtime? I get @ 11 minutes at race pace....sometimes less if I have to push it the entire race. I've dumped a 6500mah 2 corners from...
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but all athletes use some form of performance enhancing items...whether it be the food they eat, the exercise they perform, the equipment they use etc etc etc.
So if he was using something that no one else thought of.....and the tests weren't calibrated to...
Average run-time? Unfortunately it will never be the same for me as it is for you....or anyone else out here. Too many factors come into play.
7-12 minutes is the ballpark for a Buggy running a .21 engine though.
If you are getting 5 mins per tank.....what kind of conditions? Are you wide...
If you're adventurous...pull the cover off of it. I've had this happen with other brands...and sometimes the balance tap solder joint pops off. I've fixed up quite a few packs this way....
Temp is just a guideline. It's not a hard and fast rule. EVERY engine runs differently. Even 2 of the exact same brand/model. My TRX3.3 ran like crap until it was in the 280 range. My GRP loved to be @ 210......pretty big range. Listen to the engine...feel the power it's making....and look...
I'm actually running Savox servos these days in my Nitro Buggy and they are doing wonderfully thus far. Great bang for the buck. I've got the high voltage versions because I'm sick of regulators dying on me. lol
Duratrax Temp Gun is a 50/50 crap shoot. I've owned 3 in the past...only one was decently accurate. The other 2 were 20 degrees and 35 degrees off. I'm using an O'Donnelle Temp gun now which has been decent, but it's also starting to read a little off. Whatever you buy, boil some water and...
