my mistake too, those figures are not supposed to be in WT.
Shock oil is usually measured in WT, and for RC use you'd be using from 20wt to 100wt
Diff oil is measured in CPS, and is a completely different measure that you can't compare directly to WT. For RC use you'd be using from 1000 to...
I think alkyulas post explains some, but CorradoPsi's post is also worth a read. I read the first page worth of noob posts and was going to reply with an essay, but after reading the second page I realise I don't have to.
By using thicker or thinner oils in the center diff to alter the...
I run two engines interchangeably, keeps the mileage down on both.
Number 1:
JP Mod Pro99 Buggy (no longer available!)
Long stroke, 14mm crankshaft, 7+2+3 ports.
Number 2:
RB C5 Circuit
Long stroke, 14mm crankshaft, 7+2+3 ports, turbo plug.
Both are killer (very overpowered..), and...
Engine decisions.
Forget about the Rody mod engines, it's just a lame excuse to charge you more money. I can see the fruit in spending a little for RBCC or something like that, but the difference between (for example) a C5B and a Rody C5B would be so close to zip zero that you really couldn't...
Yeah I think i'm with Elway. Any engine seems fast until you've tried or seen faster.
like I said on aim cvec, the b01 is just another RTR engine, you can't expect miracles.
You'd be much better off trying to get a backup RB or nova off one of the racers for cheap, or just run something...
my bad then. someone posted on the rcca mp7.5 forums that they weren't as good as the stock ones and wore too quickly, I've never tried one myself. who knows, sounds like theyre alright then.
flash - the marshall would have had to be pretty retarded to jam his fingers in there, because anyone with half a brain usually doesn't jam their fingers into the drivetrain to pick up a car.
"Oh look, there's a buggy flipped over, lets not flip it over with its wing or sideguards, lets jam...
i've got a few of the clipless hingepins they seem to be okay generally, but the hingepin holders (toe blocks) suck (there is a multiple piece rear one I have that sucks) and i've also heard that all the clutch parts including bells and springs are all junk and of poor quality.
Personally i'd...
That is a bad design, and not the correct way to go about solving that particular problem. I know this because I have a couple of friends that have owned xterminators for a long time now.
I wish I had a picture on me, but the correct way is to make some small right angled metal brackets that...
I'm with cbreaker and nitro freak
i really like the front suspension design, finally something original AND cool :D, but please ttr dont take marketing photos with those tyres its a major turnoff :(
does anyone know what the dry weight of the car is?
the issue is if stuff gets in it can't come out as easily.... which is worse than leaving it open.
personally i've never had a single problem with the open setup and i'd leave it like that, the good old 'if it aint broke dont fix it' rule applies here i think.
but i guess if you've had...
Hope no one beat me to this, apologies if they did.
KO have jumped on the bandwagon with the metal servo casings and updated their 2344 and 2343 servos with the metal heatsink cases.

Whether this makes a difference or not is up for question...
Yeah the diff main gears are the same hardened steel ones as in the kanai editions. For the most part the regular 7.5 is pretty good kit, I used to own one before I picked up a K2. ----------> The diff issues etc are with the sports editions, NOT the regular edition. The regular is like a kanai...
The silver ones look sick
not sure how much i'd actual want to use them (i think i'd snap them reasonably quick), but for a show puppy they would rock.
if it was me i'd be shooting for the ebay ones.... 9.99 vs 94.99
i doubt the ebay ones will even hit half that.
sorry my mistake. *blush* it was like 2am over here that day i was typing that and i looked at the clock to work it out and i obviously did a pretty poor job.
Leaning = clockwise (closing)
Richening = anticlockwise (opening)
Hehe was just pissin man. A HB lightning pro or something would do nicely, or one of the hyper pcr's would be sick too. If those are out of range, a lightning RR or any of the hyper7's would be nice, the regular PBS doesn't cost much i dont think.
Dude tuning needles are different for all engines. The way the needle is made, the taper, the thread pitch, bla bla.
So a "standard" never works, there's always a default setting for each engine.
Paul - i'd stick to what the book says - if 2 - 2.5 is what it says for topend, use that, and...
Yeah I'm with dg there, there's a lot of guys parting out K2/K3's on ebay and you can always find things cheaper on there if you don't mind putting in a little more effort.
