sick engine for racing complex tracks.. if your about just doing straight speed runs up and down the block the 3.3 if faster upstairs.. i had the Sirio geared 19/36 when i was bashing and 17/38 for racing.. whatever combo you run wheelies are never a problem..if you like wheelies that is...
I look at that motor as disposable. i used it for about one gallon and threw a real engine in... I hated the fact that you can't use a good header, the recoil starter is the worst I've ever seen, and the motor flat out sucks for performance.. I love my Inferno gt2 but i love it alot more since i...
If your fixated on doin a big block i would go with the AXIAL 28RR. I had a few different mills before discovering this very fairly priced rocket.. however you do need the New era bb kit or maybe even the traxxas would work.. And if you do go with the AXIAL it has to be the RR not the regular...
Use the stock shocks on the revo.. i run 25 lb springs with 30 wt oils in the rear , and 22 lb springs and 25 wt oils in the front. with this setup i am perfect all around for handling and some big air as well. i have the Integy piggybacks as well cause they look cool but i took them off within...
try taking your rod out and putting a little fuel line under the piston. you can adjust your travel so that if you bottom out the shock, it will still have the chasis off the ground.. its is a very simple way to keep your chasis and skids brand new forever.. i replaced my chasis since it was...
ok... i figured as much that it would need to be sealed, but what i really wanna know is is it a high rpm engine??? i have all torque with my sirio and am looking for some speeds comparable to the 3.3 or better? do you think with the right gear setup and tuned properly it will be able to run...
NewEra just came out with a new conversion... part number REV111V2... it is the new generation big block conversion.. any motor with any pullstart will fit. it has the most adjustability out there.. and you will never need another mount if you happen to swith engines down the road.. it cost 50...
just ordered the axial 28rr...I'm gonna try it in place of my Sirio .27 to see if i can get the top end i want...does anyone have experience with this mill.. if so please share. thank you
i run the TRAXXAS steel cvds all around on my basher and when i get airborne the left front or the left rear pops out at the diff???? so naturally i thought i had too much travel and when the a arm is decompressed fully it pulls out the drive shaft. so i went ahead and changed to the p3 rockers...
hey any of you guys with side mount pipes i have about 5 or 6 bodies for the revo 3.3 that have a portion of the left side cut out to fit the pipe. they are all slightly used but none are entirely shot. i dont want anything for them just pay for shipping.. let me know other wise I'm gonna chuck them.
wow thanks alot man thats very thoughtful, but what i actually did was went out spent 45 bucks got a CVEC 1/8 scale pipe and used my stock sirio header. now i have the option to use my JP-4 or my cvec when i want.. Thanks again though.. and just incase your wondering the cheap CVEC matched up...
i am trying to fabricate a header that will allow me to run my jp-4 out of the rear of the truck where it belongs on a REVO.. I am sick and tired of airbrushing these beautiful bodies and then cutting half of them off so the pipe can be exposed.. i think If i can just get my hands on the stock...
I tried the long travel when i first got into Revos.. if you are using the steel CVDS of any manufacturer, it will not work. When the truck is suspended any higher than stock, the CVDS pull out at the diffs. The stock drive shafts have the male female slide system so they adjusts to the ride...
caio francois!! the manifold on the 2.5 and the 3.3 are the same so cutting the flange would be the same simple task.. The motor saver air filter is a direct drop on peice. you can leave it alone or fix it to the air filter neck that comes standard on the revo, which will be more difficult.. and...
instead of reaming new holes i notched out the mounting post bracket. if you just notch out about 3/4 of the bracket and then reinstall the screws you have an adjustable mount and you can run the E REVO or regular 3.3 without making ugly holes in the body
Hey man sorry if your bummed about the A ARMS.. try them out, whats the worst that can happen?? The only reason i am against aluminum suspension upgrades is because when you crash 90% of the time it involves either the front or rear A ARMS. It took me a while to realize that aluminum is not the...
Hello all as you can tell i am a proud REVO racer and basher. I find myself looking at the Savvys everytime i'm in my LHS. There are so many different versions of this truck. I think i would do best with the ss kit... Is this a true kit??? i want one without the radio and no motor. The owner of...
