    rs4 2 2 speed

no the hpi rs4 supper nitro has a 2speed upgrade that MIGHT work, key word might, and if they still even make it/anyone still sells it. time to upgrade dude to a new car. The r40 transmission and clutch setup are totaly different from the rs4 2

    Powerless Revo

have you gotten your reciever wet? if so you could have damaged it, if you shifter servo works and nothing else, try plugging in your other servos into the shifter servo slot and see if the servos work, if they do work, its probibly the reciever. it could also be your battery though unlikely...

    Chassis underside getting badly scratched

dude don't wory about the scratches, when you hit a bump the car is bottoming out and just running over rocks. even if you raise the ride height the shock from most bumps can still cause this. its nothing to worry about. my r40 has atleast 8+ gal through it and no problems. but if your really...

major problem with sway bars!!! *HELP* PLEASE

a torch and a table vice would get them bent back.....although it might alter the flexibilty to the point where they are useless and hurt/destroy the performance of the car, not sure on the chemistry/physics but i know high heat changes the flex/strength of metals. i have to think that you...

    Bad Experiences/Crashes Share them here!

ok so here's mine: So when i was new to r/c cars i had a HPI RS4 SN with the 2speed but otherwise pretty stock(yeah, way back in the day), so i was driving it one day in the summer at a local school where theirs a long road with a 90deg turn with curbs on the outside of it, well its pretty...

    good idle?

thats pretty tipical for the 3.3 from my experience, like mentioned, it does sound like you need to check your controler trim, richen that low speed, lean the high speed just a tick 1/8 turn max, break ins suck the fun out of a new car, but ya gotta do it

    Spring rate question

springs are a prefrence thing, if you like the way it drives on those springs then stick with them if yours is like mine on the p3 with the shorter rods it rides lower so the stiffer springs would probibly be better i mean it is a progressive rate rocker so you'll still get decent stability...

REVO expert tuner needed badly !!!

i had a macoy plug once, my 3.3 never liked it, hard to start and stalled all the time fouled out the first day i ran it. the traxxas plug always ran better in it, but hey some people love macoy plugs, i've always had good experience with O.S. but i use turbo plugs

    which one is fastest?

if you want speed, you want to stick with a .12 size motor, cars are lighter than monster trucks so they don't need the torque of a big block and benifit GREATLY from the 10000 rpms a .12 motor can turn over a big block, good .12 motors can make 2 hp or more which with the right gearing will...

REVO expert tuner needed badly !!!

First thing i would sugest is to put a new glow plug in it, the glow plug is what causes combution, its keept at opperating temp after you remove the starter by the heat of the combustion, so if its worn out then it won't stay running. Second thing to fidget with is your low speed neddle, if it...

    Revo 3.3 Braking

i have the traxxas vented disk, its a thicker disk, alot like a real car brake disk, its working better than stock, i have a BB motor in it and it stops on a dime. like the guy above said, w/o the cd really the best thing you can do is raise the brake pressure.

    Upgrading Exhaust

i got the jp-2 for my axial, with the stock gasket it didn't fit, but with the thinner gasket that came with the pipe it fit right, dunno if it works for your motor tho

    glow plug sizes

the end on a turbo plug is cone shaped as opposed to flat, they don't use a crush ring(the copper washer on standard plugs). the button for the cylinder is also cone shaped, when you squrew it in, it seals up better than a standard plug and more consistantly at the same level, making more power...

    RPM issues

thanks guys, so far so good, shortened the lines and checked for leaks but had no noticed ones. richened up the low speed and i think that was the winner (figured thats all it was). only put about 2/3 tank due to wet conditions so I'm not 100% but the temps didn't get near as high. i see why...

    glow plug sizes

yeah, their is standard, "long reach," and turbo plugs from what i understand that motor takes a standard plug

    RPM issues

so please help me out, I just recently got bored on day so slamed a .28 into my revo, all my linkages are great, mechanicly sound job, but i'm having an issue. I'm new to "big block" motors, first new motor bigger than .12. so anyway, after it warms up a bit, when you let off the gas the rpm...
