    Short versus Long Glow Plugs

You are correct. On RTR millls, using a short plug won't affect much. Once you get in to the high performance mills, using the wrong plug can make or break it. There is no good reason to run shorter plugs unles the manufactuer calls for it.

I think the 1/2 offset is needed for clearance on the Stampedes when you install larger wheels. Not 100% sure though. I'll send you a pic asap.

need some advice upgrading savage engine

The F4.6 is an Ofna engine, it is more reliable and runs much cooler than the K4.6. The K4.6 and the K5.9 are manufactured by Axial, one of the worst engine brands IMO. Very poor quality control. Their bearings are complete crap too. If I were you I would buy a LRP .28 or .30, or a Picco .28...

Sold / Found 17mm monster truck wheels

I have plenty of 1/2" offset truggy 3.7" lpr race wheels and tires that are sitting around. a whole 50 gallon tub full, no use for them. My rc stuff is getting out of control. Need them gone. Some are white dish wheels, some yellow. I have a set of crimefighters, couple sets of VP Pro tires. The...

    project jato

I'd run the pipe Losi puts on the cars with the Dynamite mills, if it will fit a Traxxas car. Lois uses good pipes on almost all their cars. They have the engine manufactuer match up a pipe to the mills they make. The resonator will work fine though, its a good pipe.

    engine stalling

Not that much. Check your clutch and engine OWB. Sounds like a possible binding issue. Not everything is an air leak guys, I am seeing that thrown out at all engine problem threads here lately.

    PICCO .28 JLR Team Turbo

Put a Dynamite 086 pipe on it. I found good prices on E-Bay for Dynamite hard coated pipes. I own quite a few pipes, the Dynamites seem to be the best quality and the most affordable vs. all the other manufactuers. You want a ballistic pipe for it, check out Extreme RC Mods.. It's going to be...

    Will This Kill My Engine

You probably are a little off on the tune. Engines that are not fully broken in can not be leaned as far because there is so much compression they predetonate. Once all the mechanical pinch is gone, then you can fully race tune a mill. Using the older method of breakin is terrible for engines...

    picco p3 .21

That's what they need. You gotta run them to break them in. A good engine with a proper breakin will get tighter instead of looser for the first 3/4's a gallon or so. The Picco p3 .21 gets super tight after a just a few tanks. It is a very well built engine. The sleeve is really thick. It is a...

    three engines, need help picking

The JPX .21, the others do not compare for quality. The V-spec will tune a little easier but will require a lot more money to maintain. The Reedy does not compare for power. All my Picco mills run and tune great after a proper break in. Lost count of the gallons on my back up engine. It's over...

    Nitro engines

Not for that engine. Nobody makes one for it, it would not be worth it. That engine is designed to be economical and easy to tune. Save up for a better mill, and in the meanntime go up a tooth on the CB. The engine has enough torque to offer some more top end, depending on your car and driving...

    "too hot for nitro"

20% fuel with higher oil content vs. 30% with 10-12% oil is not going to make an engine last longer. It's a myth. Engine quality, proper tuning and maintennace make them last. Traxxas mills need bearings every gallon IMO if you want to make them last, still they don't last long. The materials...

Sold / Found Sh 21 for RC10GT parts

OK new box arrived. I put the dynamite box back together. I have to rewire it, it's a 3 pole switch and I forgot to label what went where. Only takes a few minutes but one wrong connection=bad news. I will test it and let you know. 99% sure she is fine.

    "too hot for nitro"

Don't over tighten the head bolts. Just make sure everything is tight. Install a new plug and retune. A fuel with higher nitro and lower oil contents will run cooler and offer more power. If you are running the Byron's 20% with 14% oil, try the race blend. You'll be amazed at the difference.

    picco p3 .26

One of Ofna's biggest problems...part numbers. They are still screwing up on their new stuff as well. lol I bought the Picco buggy when it came out. Finding the correct parts was a pain. The included manual did not match the on-line manual. The part numbers listed beside parts that were sold for...

Sold / Found Engine, Savage Parts

$45 for that mill is a steal, Jonny. It would be well worth to have. Run one and use the other for spares. The carb alone costs that or more new. Moving expenses killed my chance of buying it right now.
