Jammin SCRT-10 vs Ofna Hyper 10SC

8 cell Nimh is what you're after, (8.4v) but as for runtime I'm not really sure whats around because I'm all lipo. A good charger will be all you need, no charge bags are needed. But I would be getting a few batteries because nimh charges slower so be prepared, and remember to run them down or...

    which truggy?

It was a Revo, not a Jato, but that would be a good trick.. lol I personally run all Associated gear, so the RC8TCE is my truggy, and I love it, but in all honesty the best one doing the rounds at the moment is the Mugen MBX6T. Then you need to consider that because you have a Revo you'll...

    RC truck identification

Definately a Tmaxx because you can just see the front drivecup on the front of the tranny. But it is the old one because that looks like the 2.5 motor. Even here in australia it's worth next to nothing so it might pay to just spent $50 on it and run it into the ground. Could be a lot of...

good .21-.24 truggy engine part racing part bashing? any sujestions

Hey Parry. Which clubs were you planning to race at? Both nitro clubs here require a .21 or .24/.25 only because most .28's wont last the race times, and the OS .25zx and the Trinity .24, which I believe is now Sirio .24 will give you the most power with good runtime. Other than that the OS...

    SC8e questions

It'll be just fine in grass so long as you dont have it overgeared, so you may need to gear it down if it's an RTR. As for durability it's basically an RC8T (truggy) with buggy arms, so it is very strong, and wont give you too much trouble. Upgrades really will be alloy shock towers, (when you...

    Recommedned KV rating?

50mph on sand and clay is very unlikely, and to do it within temps is like riding a unicorn.... It aint going to happen. The VXL at roughly 3500kv wont do 50mph on 2s unless it's geared to a inch of it's life on smooth tarmac, so you'd be looking at about 5000kv and it'll get hot. 3s will be...

    Emaxx or 4x4 stampede

The VXL 4x4 Stampede is a great little truck and they should have done it years ago. It has none of the turn/fall over/turn/fall over again that the 2wd had, but I still believe they should put alloy adjustable shocks on from factory. It's probably a little soft for jumping from factory, but I...

    F Truck bumper

Oh I pop in from time to time but everyone on here is so good I can't be of any help.. lol. Thanks for those links guys. can't find what I'm looking for but found other things on both sites... Awesome.

    F Truck bumper

Hey guys. I am smack in the middle of building an F truck, ('79 F100/150) and I thought it would look sweet with what I think you guys call a Texas bumper. It's a chrome bumper about 1 foot high, you know, a smaller version of what you see on Peterbuilts and KW's I am hoping someone could...

What kind of Truggy Motor Do U Have?

Sorry mate. Hope this isn't too late 6 months on, lol. I really dont run race motors to temperature but I have checked it on occasion. I have had it come in at 250 F after a 45 minute main running a P3 plug. Although these plugs aren't really recommended they are very reliable and give you a...

    "Pushing" during cornering

Gee with 1 in the rear it'll jump out of the corner like a 6 cyl Caddillac. lol Yes you can help the pushing a little however trying to steer through a corner on power, (unless its very wide or not really a corner) is the slow way to turn. Also your dirt over there must be a lot different to...

    "Pushing" during cornering

On power cornering in truggy is a myth. They will always push on power no matter what the viscosities are. I run 7,7,7 in the RC8T and wouldn't go any heavier. I realise I am running clay here in Oz and your dirt in the USA might alter the handling but any higher than 10k in the centre to me is...

    BL hellp

Novak is the only brushless motors I've ever seen that go SLOWER if they're overgeared. They even say in their instructions that if the car isnt going as fast as it should, and speedie temps are up, then gear it down.... My Castle and Hobbywing systems will overheat if overgeared of course, but...

can't imagine these are all that sought after...

Well the mini erevo is made for 2 battery operation, all you need is a parallel lead and 2x 2s or 3s, and the middle one is a Revo too, but looks like a nitro. As for that big ass onroad, I have no idea what that is, but batteries are a piece of cake. If you have room to mount them then...

Looking for a NEW HELLFIRE SS KIT

I have an SS kit NIB, and I have an RTR with an Axial .28rr and an all alloy chassis. I dont use any of them because I race Associated. I may be in Australia but if anyone needs one in the future PM me. The difference in the exchange rate will make up for your postage costs I'm sure.

    AE RC8T question?

When you get the starter box put the truggy on it and see if the flywheel reaches the starter wheel. If it does then your good to go, if it doesn't you'll need to lower the motor in the chassis, which will require a backplate and possibly cutting the crank to fit it. What you can also do is it...

What kind of Truggy Motor Do U Have?

I run the modded Extech .24 with the standard Extech 2057 pipe in my RC8T CE and I love that motor more than any I've ever run. I wont stand here and say Scrogg is wrong because he could be spot on. I've only run about 15 litres through mine, (3 and 3/4 gallons approx) and will say the power is...

    twin mortor 4 E-revo????

I dont see why not but you'd probably need the Emaxx tranny and motor plate. Then just find some driveshafts to fit.

    LRP brushless motors

The X11 and X12 are both good motor series. Popularity is growing and they produce good power in Truck (stadium) stock and mod. Some are using sub 10.5 turn in 4wd open and they're getting good results. They seem to be reliable and worth the money.
