I run the Hardcore Titanium towers. They're bullet proof, no complaints here.

Search under manufacturer Hard Core Racing. Great prices from when I bought mine.
You talk about bang for your buck and a great starter rig, so what would be a top shelf crawler? I'm interested in the crawlers and thought that the axial rigs were the shiznit but I can see that I might need to do some more research.
Everyone was out of the pins I bought last time for my Storm but I can use the hinge pins for an HPI Savage (4mm X 62MM) and they're Titanium to boot.
I am also very interested in carbon fiber pins. If I could find the size I need, I would try them.
Found more broken pieces during the Storm rebuild, specifically the front lower hinge pins. I have plenty of stock ones but with the upgraded hinge pin bracket, I need the longer ones. I have lost track of how many places are out of stock of Storm parts. I guess I should be thankful that a few...
I just went to the team xray site and checked out the new XB808 and I must say that I don't see where we have moved to the next level of 1/8 scale. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful machine but I see many similarities with my dated Storm. What I see is pieces/parts that in the past were...
Agree, I do get a good seal between my bulkheads and the chassis. I was just concerned about the metal to metal contact between the ring/pinion. Anyone ever fill the bulkheads with a bunch of grease?
Talk about an authentic looking truck body!! Look at the gap between the cab and the bed (2nd pic). See how there is a slight difference in the gap between the top and down and the bottom. I love it dude, just like my 1:1 truck. They all get that when they get old and things start to sag. Either...
I had often heard stories of nitro engines running backwards and then one day I started mine, set it down and throttled up and yup, backwards. I remember when I started it, it was a real quick burp on the starter box and it fired right up. Weird but it was running backwards and I could never...
I suppose a new piston and sleeve might be cheaper than buying a new engine, I don't really know the cost of them. The other concern I have is with the pilot bearing, (I think that is what it's called). The bearing that rests in the engine block where the output shaft is. It's fit is very, very...
What is recommended for lubrication between the pinion and the diff? I just rebuilt my front/rear and never put much thought into what kind of lube should be used. Thanks.
I had this old GS B01 engine that for some reason died very prematurely. I took it apart today and got a good look at it. There are some rather deep scratches, as you can sort of see from the pics. There is a pic of both sides of the piston for comparison as well as all the pieces except for one...
Started the tear down / rebuild of my Storm today. I think I might be in the market for a newer buggy as well. I sometimes struggle with which one is better because afterall, aren't they all pretty much the same? In design at least, maybe not in workmanship or quality but aren't all buggies the...
Man, has this question been asked a few times! We can beat this one around for days. I remember when folks said the Kanai buggies were the shizzle. I've been away for a while so it will be interesting to see what one needs to keep up with the Jones' these days. My answer to this question has...
