I am pretty new to this, but started building a nitro buggy. I ordered a futaba 3pm-x transmitter which came with a Futaba r603ff receiver. Upon receiving i realized the receiver is only rated for 6v and i want to use LiPo voltage on my servos so I ordered a r614fs receiver. After placing my order, I realized it might not be compatible with my transmitter. Here are my questions.
  1. What will happen if i run full voltage to my 6v receiver?
  2. Will the r614fs reciever work with my 3pm-x transmitter(they are both the FASST system)
Thanks

I've read several things that suggest you can run those on a 2s lipo but if your not using HV servos then Id either use a LiFe battery or a cheap BEC to drop the volatge down to 6V. Futabas website seems to indicate that it was designed for 6V however, its not super specific in the way it says it.
