Hey guys, been awhile since i last was on here and also been awhile since i've had time to even get back into this amazing hobby. But now that I'm finished up with school I'm going to have some more free time.
I've decided to take on a full build from ground up. All bran new parts and plan on building a bran new nitro revo but with a truggy style. I've been wanting a truggy for a long time and the prices for a good high quality truggy is hard for me to afford. Since I'm on a tight budget i couldn't afford an RTR or a truggy kit, so i decided to order a bare revo 3.3 chassis for 1 dollar on ebay.
Also just last night ordered most of the plastic bits but for the slayer 3.3 pro because i like the battery box for the receiver and battery. And it just seems more compact than the revo's setup. And i've ordered the complete bulkhead pieces for front and rear (with out the diffs ) so those should be arriving hopfully later this week or next week.
The truck in general is going to have mixed parts from slayer pro 3.3 and revo. The transmission will be a forward only slayer 2 speed, the arms will be revo 3.3. So its gonna be alittle different but the main goal is to make a revo that looks as close to a true truggy as possible.
The build probably will take some time so its not like its gonna be a 2 week project. Its going to gain progress according to what i have extra in the wallet. Luckly everything is very affordable as far as purchasing part by part. I'm hoping to very soon have a complete roller for under 200 dollars. After that its just a matter of the radio and engine.
Ultimately i want the revo to look close to the HB D8T
