What engine should I go with for my S-Maxx?

I recently tried to start my S-maxx for the first time in 2 years. Fresh fuel, new glow plug, etc. I put the tried to turn over the motor with the ez start. the electric motor was just like zzzzt and that's all it did. I later took the cylinder head off my trx 3.3 to find a whole gob of dried up nitro fuel on top of the piston. I decided to tear it down the rest of the way, to attempt to free it up. I then started pushing to the piston up and out of the liner. It left a piece of the piston stuck to the liner. I have rebuilt real car engines before and never had anything like this happen... lol.

So, list of parts that are bad.
Piston
back crank bearing
radio receiver

Would it be worth trying to fix this S-maxx or just buy a new nitro slash or something?

If you think I should try to fix, what engine would you recommend?

you have to ask yourself what you want ,a new 3.3 is $115 and if your radio is poo I would get the traxxas 2.4ghz radio which I think are around $70 .or you could buy a new rig if it were me I would fix it stay with a 3.3 it will be plenty for a 2wd maxx

The Nitro Slayer is selling for $320.00 to 360.00 on fleabay right now. You can do a lot with your current rig for that amount of money.

Ebay a new 3.3 and a 2.4ghz radio set, you can get the stock type for around $35 shipped.
I have not been impressed with any of the Traxxas radios, the 2.4 Ofna & HPI are a good deal.

I would go with a Fly sky gt3b like $40.00 for radio and receiver. I have had my Gt3b one of the best radio's for the price, and receivers are like 7-8 bucks on ebay if you have other rigs. If your looking for a good budget engine for the maxx the Mach.19 engine's are good quality for I think around $100 shipped on ebay.
