2014 PC Build - Pic Heavy

@WoodiE The biggest PC project I'm working on right now is a new Gaming rig. I'm building my dream PC and I'm sparing little expense. I lost exact count but I believe I'm in for around $5100 +/- $300ish. Heres so info and pics

I'm mostly working on making and sleeving all of the cables myself so I havent made much progress on putting it together. making my own cabling, adding custom switches, and watercooling with hard acrylic water tubing are all new to me so the learning curve is huge on this build. Plus I complicated matters by duplicating and even triplicating some of the watercooling components so it may be months before I'm done with it especially since i dont get tons of time to work on it between work, my wife, and LoL. This Rig will be mostly White and UV reactive Red with UV lighting. I still have not ordered the watercooling fittings. I'll post more pics as I get them.

this is actually a 660Ti not a 670. It was mislabeled by the manufacturer.

This is my second GTX 660Ti. I'm running them in SLI. Two GTX 660Ti in SLI benchmark about the same as a GTX Titan without the $1000 price tag.

Asus Maximus VI Forumla Motherboard. about as top of the line as it gets in motherboards.

Corsair AX860 Watt Platinum rated PSU. Was going to go with the AX1200 Watt but got such a good deal on the 860 I figured Id get it since most PSUs like to run with a fairly heavy load on them anyway.

Watercooling block for one of my video cards….for somereason I forgot to take a pic of teh other one but its virtually the same anyway.

Forgot to take pics of the case before i took it apart but its a monster. The Corsair Obsidian 900D. The wheels you see to the left are Losi LST2 420 size wheels with Savage XL Rims on top of those for an idea of just how big this case is. This case is the biggest mass produced case on the market currently. 25.6" x 9.9" x 27.2"

Gonna make a custom front panel for the PC using these switches

My 480 sized radiator. I originally wanted alphacool rads but since I've doing UV lighting and I'm going with white as my primary color and UV red as my secondary color I decided to buy these XSPC rads since I could get 360′s and 480′s in white.

One of my 360 sized radiators (The other one is already mounted in the case.) I'm gonna have a 480 and a 360 on the bottom like and I'm also adding a 360 to the top

Complete overkill I know but thats the point

Monsoons Hardline hard acrylic water tubing bending kit.

2X Custom made helix water reservoirs. One in white and the other in UV Reactive red with UV Red mounts and UV cathod tube lights that run up through the center. These set me back a pretty penny.

120mm dragon fan guard. This is going to be painted with a UV reactive paint and installed over the fan on the power supply inside the unit. I also ended up buyign a 140mm one also for the rear exhaust fan but I dotn not have a pic of it.

can't forget the brains of this beast. A quad core Intel i7 4770k CPU.

I've already started using my Razer Orbweaver for gaming just cuz I can't live without a game pad of some sort

Yeah to be honest its really a waste of a lot of money and its about 200 times more work than I thought it was going to be. If I could go back and do it all over again I wouldnt do it. I've been in the IT field for about 17 years now and its always been my dream to do some crazy over the top build but I've discovered that dream isnt all its cracked up to be and I'll be paying for it for quite awhile to come. That being said...since I already did it, I'm gonna finish it so I can at least say "I did that once!"

Cool looking case and I like your fan controller. I wanted to use a two slot controller myself but I didnt have the room for it with the other mods I'm planning.

Corsair actually makes some premade ones for some of their higher end modular PSUs but I wanted to make the entire thing from the ground up because I wanted to use highly flexible silicone insulated wire, UV reactive connectors, and custom dual colors. If only I knew how much of a pain in the ass and how expensive that was gonna be....yeah Id have bought the premade ones lol.

We're wandering around lost here after the renovation. Proof....even the builder can't figure it out.

Ok so after some health and financing issues are slowly starting to resolve themselves I've been able to go back to work on my now $6600...I dont even know what to call it anymore. i love it and hate it at the same time....I guess i'll it my red headed step child...I've upgraded the video cards from dual GTX 660Ti's to dual GTX 780Ti's (classified kingpin edition...in layman terms the fastest factory overclocked edition that EVGA makes). The GoPro is just in there for size comparison. These cards are behemoths!

The watercolooling fittings I've decided to use are Monsoons's "Chainguns". They are really bad ass looking but they are also really big. Theres a couple spots where I'm wondering if I can make them fit on the block...say the CPU block for instance. They might be to big. We'll see.

The whole build has a white and UV red theme with UV lighting. First pic shows the stock Asus Maximus VI Formula Motherboard. The 2nd pic shows the board after i painted it and mounted UV LEDs under the ROG Armor (the plastic shroud that i painted), the third picture shows the UV LEDs under the board turned on and a UV light overhead. The last pic is pretty much the same but it also shows the small strip of red LEDs I put around the I/O shield area so even if the room is dark or dim you'll still be able to see teh I/O shield. You shouldnt really be able to see the red LEDs inside the case onc ethe MoBo is mounted in the case. The ROG badge thats in the middle of the ROG Armor hasnt been reinstalled yet.
