Centering a servo

January 24, 2005 - Tips

While centering a servo may sound like a simple task, if done incorrectly you’ll find yourself constantly trying to correct the steering or throttle of your R/C. By following these few steps you’ll save yourself a lot of time and hassle.

  • First remove the servo saver or horn.
  • Turn your radio gear on and adjust the trim on your radio transmitter to zero.
  • Turn on your R/C.
  • Re-install the servo saver or horn as close to centered as possible on the servo.
  • Using your radio transmitter fine tune the servo using the servo trim.

And there you have it, a centered servo which will make racing or bashing your R/C much more enjoyable!
